‘The White House is a dump’: Donald Trump

The president is reportedly unhappy with his accomodation.

America really needs to upgrade its official presidential residence if it wants to keep Donald Trump happy.

The president traded his multi-million dollar apartment in Trump Tower, New York for the White House after his January inauguration, but Golf is reporting he’s not happy with his living conditions.

The website says Trump told a group of his golfing buddies that “the White House is a dump” and that’s why he spends so many weekends at his property in Florida instead.

The White House has denied the claim, but the lengthly report goes on to say Trump often lets his guard down during his golfing weekends and has been known to drop candid comments about his views on the presidency.

Last November, the then president-elect told a group at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey: “This is my real group. You are the special people. I see all of you. I recognise, like, 100% of you, just about.”

He then reportedly gave them an open invitation to drop in on his interviews for Cabinet members that weekend.

The report comes amid backlash over a speech the president gave to the Boy Scouts of America last week.

He addressed 30,000 people at the National Jamboree launched animated verbal attacks on “fake news”, political rivals, Congress, and former president Barack Obama, the ABC reports.

The speech prompted Scout executive Michael Surbaugh to issue his “sincere apologies to those in our Scouting family who were offended by the political rhetoric that was inserted into the jamboree”.

He added: “We sincerely regret that politics were inserted into the Scouting program.”

However, Trump told The Washington Post his speech was a hit.

“They loved it. [Laughter.] It wasn’t — it was no mix,” he said, according to the transcript released by Politico.

“I got a call from the head of the Boy Scouts, saying it was the greatest speech that was ever made to them, and they were very thankful.”

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders has since told the publication that Trump didn’t actually take a call from the Boy Scouts as the president had said, but that they were “direct conversations.”
