The Queen is pretty in pink as she hosts Holyrood garden party

The Queen donned a lovely pink and cream outfit as she and Prince Phillip hosted the annual Holyrood Palace garden party yesterday.

Wearing a pink dress, pink hat, and a cream-coloured coat trimmed with matching pink buttons, she ensured not a single accessory was mismatched, with even her umbrella trimmed in the same pretty shade.

Prince Phillip was there, looking as dapper as ever in a top hat and morning suit, and you would never have guessed that just last month he was hospitalised with an infection.

He has obviously bounced back quickly, as he was photographed looking like he’s the life of the party as he has a group of ladies laughing – we wonder what he said that was so funny?

Polka dots must be on trend this season, as Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon attended the garden party dressed in black and white polka dots.

The garden party is a part of Holyrood Week, or Royal Week in Scotland, for which the Queen and Duke will spend a week in Edinburgh carrying out various engagements, including meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Holyrood House on Wednesday.
