Solider rescues US flag from mud during Hurricane Irma

Even in the midst of a deadly hurricane, nothing could stop this soldier showing his respect for his country.

Video of a soldier picking up an American flag from the muddied ground in Floria has gone viral after it was shared on Facebook by the Coral Springs Police Department.

The footage shows the soldier get running over to the flag, before waving it in the air and quickly hopping back into the safety of his vehicle.

The video has since been shared across dozens of media sites and received million of views and thousands of comments, many praising his patriotism.

“Your American Family cherishes your heart as you cherish the flag symbolising your nation that you defend,” wrote one commenter.
