Say a prayer for Mandela, now critical

Nelson Mandela, the former President of South Africa has been announced to be in critical condition.  It is the first time they have used the word critical when talking about his health.  Mandela has been in hospital with a lung infection for over two weeks.

Aged 94 years old, he remains, and will possibly always be face of the anti-apartheid movement.  The current President of South Africa said the icon was in good hands in hospital and urged the country of South Africa to pray for Mr Mandela and his family.

American media have over the weekend given suggestions that Mandela faces failing organs, and was unresponsive.
