Newlyweds Jack and Eugenie speed away from their reception in 007 car

She may have arrived at her wedding on Friday in one of the royal family’s vintage Rolls Royces, but it was Princess Eugenie and new husband Jack’s choice of car, as they left their wedding reception, that got people talking.

The newlywed couple, who said their vows in front of the world in a televised ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, departed the official afternoon reception, hosted by Her Majesty the Queen, in none other than James Bond’s car.

Mr and Mrs Brooksbank departed the official event at Windsor Castle in the impressive Aston Martin DB10, which was designed and engineered in the UK specifically for the  James Bond film Spectre.

And sweet images from the day show the bride being helped into the car by her older sister Princess Beatrice, 29, and beaming father the Duke of York, as they helped Eugenie, 28, to fit the impressive train of her silk gown into the rare sports car.

The couple left the London castle to head to a second reception, hosted by the bride’s divorced parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duke and Duchess of York.

According to reports from UK newspapers, the proud parents have planned 48 hours of celebrations for their youngest daughter and her new husband at the York family home, Royal Lodge in the grounds of Windsor.

The Daily Mail reported that Andrew and Sarah, who divorced in 1996, have planned “one hell of a party” organised by the wedding planners who arranged David and Victoria Beckham’s big day. The event is said to include fairground attractions, such as dodgems and coconut shies, as well as cocktails and food stalls to keep guests fed and watered.

The royal family also shared some photographs of the couple’s elegant wedding cake on social media, which was made for them by Sophie Cabot and featured sugar flowers in bold autumnal colours, which matched those on display around the doors of the chapel.

The couple chose a red velvet and chocolate cake, said to have been inspired by the rich colours of autumn, and were introduced to London-based cake designer Cabot through Eugenie’s father’s initiative Pitch@Palace.
