Prince Harry and Meghan Markle share intimate new engagement photos

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared three stunning and intimate photos to mark their engagement.

The young Royal and his bride-to-be share a loving glance as they cuddle up together in front of the camera, before thanking fans for their messages of support.

A black and white portrait of the couple shows Meghan holding on to Harry’s cheek, while flashing her incredible engagement ring, with her eyes closed and appearing completely at ease.

Meanwhile the Prince is seen with a huge smile on his face as he stares lovingly down at his future wife.

The photos were shot by celebrity photographer Alexi Lubomirski – who has previously worked with photographer Mario Testino, a favourite of Prince William and Princess Diana – and show the couple in both formal and more relaxed poses.

Another snap shows Meghan linking arms with Harry, while holding on to his other hand with barely an inch between them.

Wearing a couture dress by British firm Ralph & Russo, Meghan shows off a hint of her slim figure in the glitzy top and ruffled long skirt, while keeping her hair loose and natural.

Meanwhile, Harry holds on to his other half and looks dapper in a smart suit.

The final photo is more formal, with Meghan sat down holding on to Harry’s hand, as he sits on a step above her.

The photos were taken at Frogmore House, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, and they’re a long way from the more formal photos in Royal engagement history.

Kensington Palace released a message alongside the photos on social media, thanking fans for their support.

“Thank you so much for all of the wonderful comments following the release of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle’s engagement photographs,” it read. “The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives.

“As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you.”

The release of the official photos comes hours after the couple attended the Queen’s annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace.

Photographers caught a few snaps of Prince Harry and his fiance as they arrived at the Palace with the rest of the royal family for the special event.

The couple arrived in a blue Land Rover Discovery, driven by Prince Harry, who looked smart in a simple black suit, while Markle wore a stunning black-and-white lace dress worth A$525 by designer Self-Portrait.

This lunch is the first time Markle will be introduced to many of Prince Harry’s relatives in preparation for the couple’s wedding on the 19th of May, 2018.
