Of all the skills that Prince William has, soccer may not be high on the list.

It didn’t stop him have a kick around with the England women’s football team, the Lionesses. In fact, he looked quite comfortable with the ball, even while wearing a sports coat.

The Duke of Cambridge hosted a lunchtime reception for the team at Kensington Palace, as a good luck send off for the European Championships.

The team members were joined by the local girls team from the Wildcats Girl Football program at the send-off.

Prince William gave the team his full support and encouragement for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 tournament.

“I’m sure you’ll nail it, and if you get there I’ll do my best to get to the final,” Prince William told the England captain Steph Houghton, reports SkySports.

The English team are reported to be favourites, and will face Scotland first on July 19 in the Netherlands.

During the event Prince William not only managed to demonstrate his ball skills he stopped for a chat with the players of all ages.

The 35-year-old even managed to score a penalty against the Lionesses team, and was told he was ‘actually good’, by player Jill Scott.

“He scored so I’m a bit gutted to be honest, I was getting competitive,” Jill Scott said, reports The Telegraph.
