Prince William comes out in touching display of support for his brother

Recently Prince Harry confessed to having bottled up his emotions in the twenty years since his mother, Princess Diana, passed away, resulting in “two years of hell” for the 32-year-old royal.

Harry spoke to The Telegraph about the toll losing his mum at the tender age of 12 took on him, and admitting that it drove him “close to a complete breakdown on numerous occasions”.

He revealed he dealt with his grief by “sticking his head in the sand” and “refusing to ever think about his mum”.

In heartwarming news, his big brother has backed him up with full support, saying that “there may be a time and a place for the ‘stiff upper lip’ but not at the expense of your health.”

Prince William is of course referring to the royals’ famous ability to keep emotions in check, and said that he and Duchess Catherine want to raise their children differently, telling charity magazine CALMzine, “Catherine and I are clear we want both George and Charlotte to grow up feeling able to talk about their emotions and feelings.”

It was the at the encouragement of William that Harry finally sought the help he needed, and now says that he is in a “good place”.

Harry and William are both supporters of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), which aims to raise awareness of the stigma surrounding mental illness.
