President Donald Trump misspelled First Lady Melania’s name as ‘Melanie’ in a tweet on Saturday welcoming her back to the White House after a kidney procedure.
“Great to have our incredible First Lady back home in the White House. Melanie is feeling and doing really well. Thank you for all of your prayers and best wishes!” Trump tweeted.

Melania underwent a surgical procedure on Monday to treat a benign kidney condition at Walter Reed medical centre, the first lady’s office confirmed.
Though the misspelling was quickly corrected to Melania, Twitter was exploding with hilarious reactions over the slip-up.
One user wrote: “Wonderful. But do tell us more about this Melanie.”
Another added: “Glad to hear that Melanie is doing well. Please let us know if you hear from Melania.”
And a third wrote: “I can’t believe the Trump cheated on Melania with Melanie.”
On Saturday, it was announced that Melania, 48, is continuing her recovery from the comfort of home after undergoing a “successful” procedure on Monday.
“The First Lady returned home to the White House this morning,” the White House announced in a statement. “She is resting comfortably and remains in high spirits. Our office has received thousands of calls and emails wishing Mrs. Trump well, and we thank everyone who has taken the time to reach out.”
The first lady took to social media on Wednesday to say that she was “feeling great”. She thanked the Walter Reed staff and her well-wishers, and added that she was looking forward to going home.
She wrote: “A sincere thank you to Walter Reed Medical Unit & to all who have send good wishes & prayers! I am feeling great & look forward to getting back home to the White House soon.”
