Donald Trump has taken another swipe at his nemesis North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, declaring his weapons far bigger and more powerful than his foe’s.
In a flurry of tweets that evoked images of men brandishing their ‘swords’ to see whose is larger, Trump scolded Jong-un for fresh threats against the United States.
“North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the ‘Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times’,” Trump tweeted. “Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

It comes after the North Korean leader used his New Year’s Day address to warn the US he was preparing weapons for “operational deployment”.
“The entire United States is within range of our nuclear weapons, a nuclear button is always on my desk. This is reality, not a threat,” Kim said in the annual address, reports NBC News.
“This year, we should focus on mass-producing nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles for operational deployment. These weapons will be used only if our society is threatened.”
The two men spent much of 2017 making threats against each other after North Korea conducted a series of nuclear tests.
In November the rogue country launched a intercontinental ballistic missile, which they claimed could reach the US mainland. Analysts are yet to confirm whether the claim is true.
