Jack Nicholson is back, set to star in a comedy-drama remake

Jack Nicholson is set to start in a new movie.

Jack’s back.

The Oscar winner, Jack Nicholson, known for movies like The Shining, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and The Postman Always Rings Twice has been announced as the star of a new movie.

He’s referred to himself as being a semi retired actor, rebutting claims he had retired.

So, at the age of 79 Jack is making a return to the screen for the first time since 2010.

His new role is starring in a remake of Toni Erdmann, a 2016 German film that was nominated for a Best Foreign Language Oscar this month.

The original Toni Erdmann is a comedy-drama film directed, written and co-produced by Maren Ade, starring Peter Simonischek and Sandra Hüller.

The film first premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.

Although Kirsten Wiig, from Saturday Night Live and Bridesmaids fame, has been announced as a co-star, the rest of the cast for the remake is yet to be announced, however Will Ferrell is listed among the team of producers.

The new version, by Paramount Pictures, will be in English.

Until now Jack has been more likely to be spotted at a Lakers game than he has on the set of a movie.

It’s good to hear he’s going to be back on the screen soon.
