Heckler becomes instant legend at golf tournament, puts professionals to shame

The internet found a new hero today after a heckler at the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles put all the professional players to shame with one amazing shot!

While golfers are used to hearing yelling and jeers from spectators, one man, David Johnson, got so enthusiastic that British player Justin Rose decided to pull him out of the crowd and get him to put his money where his mouth was.

Andy Sullivan and Rory McIlroy had already failed to make the shot in their practice rounds so Justin felt confident enough to lay a $100 bill on the green and hand over his putter.

David seemed unfazed and lined the ball up while the crowd cheered him on.

Taking barely any time to practice his swing, David promptly sent the ball sailing across the grass and directly into the hole – and the crowd went absolutely wild!

Justin and the other pros on the course looked to be in disbelief, while David jumped up and down much to the delight of the crowd.

The footage quickly appeared online and has already gone viral with thousands of views and likes.

“Man talked the talk and walked the walk!” said one commenter.

“This is very cool, and embodies what sports should be about: fun!” said another.

After the amazing win, Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose signed the bill for David who was said to be over the moon about the winning shot.

It’s great to see this kind of fun in sport isn’t it? Share if this made you smile!
