Happy baby news for Australian senator
She’s a polarising leader but everyone can agree that it’s great news to hear that Labor Senate leader Penny Wong has just welcomed a new baby girl to her family.
Ms Wong’s partner Sophie Allouache gave birth to baby Hannah on Good Friday and the new bub joins three-year-old daughter Alexandra.
“Sophie and Hannah are well, and Alexandra is thrilled with the new addition to our family,
“We ask that our family’s privacy is respected at this special time in our lives”, Senator Wong said in a statement.
She also released this adorable photo of her daughter Alexandra holding her new sister:
