A woman got more attention than even she perhaps expected when she crashed a live BBC news broadcast yesterday.
The unnamed woman purposely walked into the shot while reporter Ben Brown was interviewing the channel’s assistant political editor Normal Smith about the Labour Party’s manifesto launch in Bradford.
Looking directly at the camera, the disheveled woman said “Absolutely fantastic”, before Brown quickly looked at her then moved to usher her away – but with an ill-placed hand on her breast. The woman then smacked Brown on the shoulder and walked off.
Brown himself was quick to clarify that the grope was entirely unintentional.
Unfortunate interruption of broadcast in Bradford – just tried to minimise disruption but v tricky live on air – completely unintentional

But viewers were divided, with some happy to give him the benefit of the doubt, saying that the woman was out of line.
She attempted to interrupt the live coverage. BBC's Ben Brown proceeded to grope her right breast. She's miffed!

But others were keen to criticise Brown’s reaction to the interruption, calling him arrogant.
Arrogant @BBC “journo” gets slapped, deserved it. https://t.co/g808lxwaQp

Others, meanwhile, were just overjoyed at the opportunity for some jokes at the BBC’s expense.

BBC News man Ben Brown felt a woman's boob live on telly. Here's me thinking BBC sleaze was over.
