It seems that Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson’s insistence that she and Prince Andrew were “still together” could be true after the pair were spotted sharing the Royal Box at Ascot.
Last year during an appearance on Australian radio show “The Kyle and Jackie O Show”, the Duchess of York revealed she and Prince Andrew, despite being divorced since 1996, had “never really left each other”.
The pair have previously described themselves as “best friends” and when asked on air if she meant that she and the prince were still together, Fergie said, “yes”.
Attending the King George VI meeting at Ascot on Saturday, the divorced but clearly amicable couple were forced to battle wet weather as they enjoyed the day.
The rain didn’t appear to dampen Fergie’s spirits though as she laughed and cheered while watching the races.
Donning a gorgeous robin egg blue dress with navy-coloured detailing nipped in at the waist, the Duchess, 57, topped off her look with an elegant black fascinator featuring black netting across most of her face.
She finished the look off by clutching tightly to a massive umbrella to keep the rain off her flaming red locks.
Fergie stayed closed to her ex-husband Prince Andrew in the Royal Box and at one point, clutched his arm.
The pair share two daughters; Princess Beatrice, 28, and Princess Eugenie, 27.
Despite being divorced for nearly two decades, the two still share Andrew’s home at Royal Lodge in Windsor, along with a A$21 million ski chalet in Verbier, Switzerland.
