A new campaign for beef has brought Dame Edna out of her trailer for her usual magnificent string of double entendres.

The ad claims that one in three Australian women are not getting enough iron in their diets and that a palm-sized cut of beef will help them get the vitamins and minerals that they need.
Beef is also high in protein which is needed to keep your immune system as well as your organs like kidneys and heart going strong. However, the beef experts suggest for your diet are the lean varieties such as lean steak. Processed beef contains high volumes of salt which can do more harm than good.
The Institute of Medicine suggests that a person between the ages of 51 and 70 years old should get on average of 46 grammes of protein per day. This can be found from a number of sources, but not all have the backing of Dame Enda and her failed backup dancer Jackson.
What do you think of the ad? Do you prefer to not eat red meat? Where do you get your protein from? We would love to read what you think of the add, or any tasty recipes for beef, in the comments down below.
