Better Homes and Gardens host Johanna Griggs is the latest television personality to be engulfed in a web of lies construed by a major Australian media company.

The 44-year-old former competitive swimmer has slammed magazine Woman’s Day for a completely false article on her apparent “weight loss”, which even featured supposed before and after pictures.

Initially published in the magazine, the article was picked up by numerous other publications, all claiming the young grandmother has shed 5kg in a matter of weeks.

Joking that the Bauer Media Group publication should receive a people’s choice award titled “The Moronic Award for Made Up Shite” for its creative writing, Joh highlighted in an Instagram post just how ridiculous the statements published were.

Counting a total of 14 inaccurate comments the publication had quoted her saying, the much-loved television personality shot down Woman’s Day for its false claims on how she has supposedly lost weight.

“One, I’ve lost 5kg NOPE. Two, I’ve adopted a healthier food plan NOPE (I always eat healthily). Three, I’ve stopped eating after 8pm NOPE (I’m often not even home before then),” Joh began.

“Four, I’ve embraced a ‘farmhand workout’ NOPE (what even is that?). Five, I’ve stopped snacking on the run NOPE. Six, I cover all food groups at every meal NOPE.”

The Channel 7 star went on to say the two things the publication claimed she didn’t do, she actually does do, meaning the whole article was full of made up information.

“So by my calculations, you have managed to write an entire article that is 100 per cent inaccurate,” Joh exclaimed.

Including hashtags, “making up rubbish for years”, “creative writing”, “absolute bull dust” and “stop buying gossip mags”, the blonde beauty didn’t hold back in her statement which was supported by many.

“This is so bad! There should be more regulations in the industry…It should be illegal to publish a magazine full of fabrications,” one person commented.

“The most disappointing thing about these magazines is the paper is glossy so you can’t even use them for toilet paper substitute,” another joked.

“I love that you call them out on their fabricated excuse for a magazine. People should know that these types of magazines are ONLY full of shite and the only thing you can believe are the photos…They tell their own story!” a third said.

This isn’t the first time the major media company has come under fire for its “false” articles.

Australian actress Rebel Wilson is still in battle with Bauer Media Group, after she originally sued the publisher for defamation.

Last year the famous blonde took home a whopping $4.5m in damages from Woman’s Day, which claimed she had lied about her age and family history.

However, Rebel has now be forced to pay back the money and reimburse the company to cover court costs in the trial.
