David Cassidy’s daughter has revealed the last words he uttered before taking his final breath.

Cassidy died on Tuesday from organ failure stemming from his short battle with dementia.

His daughter Katie Cassidy, took to Twitter on Friday to thank fans for their support revealed her father’s heartbreaking last sentiment.

“Words cant express the solace our family’s received from all the love & support during this trying time,” she wrote.

“My father’s last words were ‘So much wasted time’.

“This will be a daily reminder for me to share my gratitude with those I love as to never waste another minute….thank you.”

It’s a sad thought from a man who accomplished so much throughout his life.

Cassidy shot to stardom on the hit show The Partridge Family and was regarded as the ultimate dreamboat for much of the 70s.

He found enormous success with his solo music career and had two children, daughter Katie and son Beau.

Despite the success, there were periods of darkness and perhaps that is where Cassidy’s regrets lie.

In 2008, he admitted to having a drinking problem and was later arrested numerous times for driving under the influence.

The signer only revealed his battle with dementia in February, noting it was the same disease that killed his mother Evelyn.

While everyone has ups and downs throughout their lives, when it’s all said and done, most people want to be able to say they lived with no regrets.

Perhaps Cassidy’s final words should be taken as a timely reminder to do the things we long and not waste time on things that don’t bring us joy everyday.

What do you think of David’s powerful last words? Do you find yourself spending your time doing the things you love as you get older?
