Dozens of celebrities have come together at ‘Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief’, to raise much needed funds for victims, as wild weather batters Florida. The death toll from hurricane Irma stands at 17 as the storm has wreaked a path of devastation across the Caribbean and through the Southeast U.S. over the weekend.

While we’re used to seeing the stars looking glamorous on the red carpet, for this cause they were willing to get down to work, answering calls in the telethon and personally thanking those who called to donate to the cause.

Stars including Julia Roberts, Cher, Oprah, George Clooney, and Catherine Zeta Jones raised a whopping $14 million before the show, which was broadcast live across 15 networks and 150 radio stations nationwide while streaming on social media, ended.

The money will go towards helping the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the back-to-back Category 4 storms that have destroyed much of Texas and Florida over the past two weeks.
