Calista Flockhark opens up about her marriage to Harrison Ford

With their seventh wedding anniversary approaching, Calista Flockhart has opened up about her marriage to Harrison Ford, and how they have managed to keep the spark alive over their 15 year relationship.

There is a 22-year age-gap between Flockhart, 52, and Ford, 74, but the actress has said in an interview that age has never been an issue for them.

“The truth is, I sometimes feel very much older than Harrison,” she said.

The pair met at the 2002 Golden Globe awards, and married in 2010 after eight years together.

“What surprised me most was that I was still capable of establishing a long-lasting relationship, making a serious commitment,” Ford has been quoted as saying of the beginning of his relationship with Flockhart.

“Harrison is a wonderful parent,” Flockhart said of her husband’s parenting skills, as they raise her 16-year-old son Liam, whom she adopted in 2001, together.

“He’s funny, and warm, and loving.”

Ford also has four adult children from his two previous marriages.

In any case, it sounds like their relationship is as strong as ever.

“Harrison and I laugh a lot, and humour is everything to me,” she said.
