Uber Australia has mocked a classic airline safety video in a funny new ad, highlighting the safety features of the ride-share company.
The one minute ad takes on the style of an airplane safety message, pointing out the exits of the vehicle, flashing the seatbelt sign and dropping phones from the ceiling like an oxygen mask.
The ad also reminds users about the ride-share app’s safety features, such as sharing your live location with others and a new emergency assistance button which lets riders report anything wrong right from the app.
“Your safety is our top priority. We never stop working to reduce incidents and set new standards, so you can stay connected and protected every time you ride with us. Because safety never stops,” the company said in a statement on its website.
Meanwhile, it comes after Uber and Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) joined forces to create the world’s first ride-share submarine, based on the reef. For a limited time, travellers will be able to use their Uber app to order a scUber.
The scUber experience includes pickup from your location, a scenic helicopter or pontoon ride and an hour ride on the submarine, getting up close and personal with the reef’s beauty.
