Cleaning bed sheets is tricky business.

Have you promised yourself that you’re going to wash the bed sheets, and don’t? Don’t fret, we’ve all been there.

Sometimes by the time you come home and make dinner, collapsing into your ‘dirty’ bed sheets seems like a good idea.

Interestingly, bed sheets can build up an impressive collection of sweat, body oil and saliva, a lot quicker than you think. As well as this, the dead skin cells that you shed every night, could encourage dust mites.

According to a 2016 US YouGov poll, over a third of under-30s will wait a month or so to change their bed sheets, while nearly half of people aged 45 or over wash their sheets weekly.

Do you change your sheets bi-weekly, weekly or monthly? Does this include pillowcases and doona covers?
