Aussie ‘home hack queen’ unveils her ‘amazing’ kettle cleaning hack

Having to clean around the house can often be a mundane, never-ending chore and no matter how much effort you put into it, you’re bound to miss something on your cleaning roster.

One such item that can often be overlooked is the humble kitchen kettle, which if you can’t remember the last time it was cleaned, it may be time to take a deep breath, look inside and give it a much needed deep scrub.

Fortunately, a self titled “home hack queen” shared her genius method for giving the kitchen kettle a deep clean with minimal effort.

Carolina McCauley often provides her over 2 million strong followers with expert tips and house hacks and her latest kettle cleaning hack has many amazed by its effectiveness.

The simple hack involves pouring a cup of vinegar and a cup of water into the kettle and allowing the combination to soak for 30 minutes.

The mixture is then boiled in the kettle before pouring the water out and rinsing the kettle.

McCauley’s followers were left astounded by how effective the simple cleaning hack was in leaving the kettle “clean and shiny”.

McCauley isn’t the only cleaning hack expert to share unique and effective ways to deep clean the kettle.

An Australian mum recently took to social media to share a genius way to give the kettle a clean using one simple natural ingredient.

Mama_Mila took to social media to share her super simple steps to get the common kitchen item sparkling.

Firstly, fill the kettle with water and add one slice of lemon. Boil the kettle twice and allow it to sit for 30 minutes before emptying out the water. The last step in the process is to simply rinse out the kettle and just like that your kitchen appliance will be sparkling clean.
