Princess Mary is known for her classic style at royal engagements and the Aussie-born royal was the picture of ladylike elegance on Wednesday evening as she stepped out in a beautiful polka dot dress to attend a gender equality conference in Paris, France.

A series of stunning photos taken at the event were shared to the Danish royals’ official Instagram account overnight. The mother-of-four, 49, looked incredible in the polka dot frock, which featured large gold buttons down the centre and across the waistline. Mary teamed the A-line dress with a pair of nude-coloured heels and a large tan handbag, while she wore her brunette locks out in soft waves. She accessorised with an elegant pair of pearl earrings.

“Today, HRH The Crown Princess participated in the opening ceremony for the Generation Equality Forum in Paris,” the Danish royals captioned the post. President Emmanuel Macron hosted the opening ceremony, which had gender equality as its focal point.

Fans of Mary’s were quick to comment on the stunning snaps, with one writing: “Love her dress.” Another added: “VERY proud of our Crown Princess Mary.” And a third commented: “Beautiful and elegant.”

The last few weeks have been pretty busy for the Crown Princess, who was pictured attending a music concert in Odense, Denmark earlier last month. For the outing, she opted for a recycled A-line lace dress by Australian label Moss & Spy, which featured a beautiful white and blue lace overlay. She teamed the outfit with matching royal blue stilettos, minimal gold jewellery, a small blue clutch and wore her hair out in soft waves that perfectly matched the outfit’s romantic vibe.

Mary was born in Tasmania and met her husband Prince Frederik at a pub in Sydney during the 2000 Olympic Games. The pair tied the knot four years later in Copenhagen, Denmark. A year later, Mary and Frederik welcomed their first child Prince Christian, followed by Princess Isabella in 2007, and the twins, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, in 2011.
