It’s hard to believe it’s been one year since Princess Beatrice, 32, and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony. And to mark the occasion, Edo penned a loving tribute to his wife on their first wedding anniversary.

The 38-year-old shared a rare close-up selfie of the pair on his Instagram page, alongside a gushing caption. “I can’t believe it has been 1 year,” he wrote. “Every second of every day since has been so full of joy, happiness, laughter and love. You are the kindest, loveliest and most beautiful person in the world. Thank you my darling for every second.”

Fans of the couple’s were quick to comment on the sweet post, with one writing: “One year down forever to go for the sweetest lovebirds!” Another added: “How has it been a year already?! Happy anniversary guys.” While a third wrote: “Ahhh so beautiful. Congratulations on your one year and your beautiful baby to come. You’re a lucky man.”

The pair married on the grounds of Windsor Castle on Friday July 17, 2020. Beatrice and Edo had originally planned to marry on May 29 in the Chapel Royal at St James’ Palace, but the ceremony was postponed because of Covid-19 restrictions. Beatrice is already a step-mum to Edoardo’s five-year-old son Christopher Woolf, from his relationship with American architect Dara Huang.

And the 32-year-old is set to welcome her first child of her own later this year. The expectant mother announced the exciting news via the royal family’s Instagram page in May.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year,” a statement read at the time. “The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

Since then, the mother-to-be has been pictured out and about, most recently attending the Wimbledon alongside her husband. For the occasion, Beatrice dressed her baby bump in a white Self-Portrait dress with black polka-dots. The gorgeous outfit featured puff sleeves and a ruched bodice, before billowing out into a longer skirt. Beatrice coordinated the outfit with a pair of stylish sunnies, while she wore her strawberry-blonde locks in a casual blowout look. It’s not clear how far along the princess is but she’s definitely showing! Meanwhile, Edo, as he’s known to friends, looked smart in a navy-blue suit.
