Prince William has two reasons to celebrate today as not only is it his 38th birthday, but Sunday also marks Father’s Day in the United Kingdom. And to honour the special day, Kensington Palace shared a brand new photograph of the duke with his three adorable children.

The sweet snap shows William sitting on a swing, presumably in the grounds of Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, where the family spent lockdown following the outbreak of Covid-19. It was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, whose photographs are regularly shared with the public.

The proud father-of-three is joined by Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis for the snap, as all three Cambridge children smile widely at the camera. Charlotte has her arm wrapped around her dad, while little Louis sits on his lap.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new picture of The Duke with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis ahead of The Duke’s birthday tomorrow,” a post shared on the official Kensington Palace Instagram page read.

Royal-watchers were delighted by the unexpected photograph, and many commented on social media about how grown up the Cambridge children look. One wrote: “Louis was a baby a minute ago, now he’s a little boy!”

Another said: “These pictures are the cutest ever. Thank you Kate for your great photography.” While another commented: “Gorgeous. All getting so grown up. Charlotte is the image of her Granny.”

And one user wrote: “I wasn’t planning on shedding tears today but there you go Cambridge Family! This is the most beautiful surprise. Such a beautiful family. Happy Birthday to the Duke!”
