Prince Harry and wife Meghan have stepped out together publicly for the first time in months. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited One World Observatory in New York on Thursday.
For the occasion, Meghan, 40, donned a pair of dark-navy wide-leg trousers and a turtleneck knit. She coordinated the outfit with a navy coat and accessorised with pointed-toe heels. The mother-of-two, who wore her hair in a slick low bun, has only made one appearance — in a video released on her birthday — since welcoming daughter Lilibet in early June and since their bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview back in March. Meanwhile, Prince Harry matched his wife, donning a smart, dark-navy suit and a navy tie.
During their visit, they were joined by New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Mayor Bill De Blasio. According to a news.com.au report, at one point, Meghan could be heard telling reporters “it’s wonderful to be back”. The couple also visited the nearby September 11 memorial plaza.
Harry and Meghan were pictured stepping out again later that day, this time reportedly to meet up with US Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield. Meghan switched into a pencil skirt and light-tan jacket for the outing, while Harry changed into a lighter-blue suit.
Harry and Meghan’s New York appearance comes just one week after they graced the cover of Time Magazine. The pair were named as two of the world’s top 100 most influential people.
On the cover, Meghan struck a wide-legged pose, while Harry stood behind her, with his hand on her shoulder. The duchess sported a white button-up shirt and matching pleated pants, while the duke wore a long-sleeved black shirt and matching pants for the shoot.

At the time, the couple addressed the honour on their Archewell website, writing, “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are not only humbled to be part of this year’s TIME 100 through the words of friend and partner José Andres, but to also write in praise of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for the publication’s annual list of Most Influential People.”
