Sunday marked Father’s Day in the United Kingdom and to celebrate the occasion Prince William and his oldest children, Prince George, seven, and Princess Charlotte, six, made an appearance at the Run Sandringham half-marathon held on Queen Elizabeth II’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and the couple’s youngest son, three-year-old Prince Louis were not in attendance.
According to the Daily Mail, William, who turns 39 on Monday, addressed the crowd before handing the microphone to his two children, who led a countdown to the start of the race.
Following the event, a series of photos emerged online and fans of the Cambridges were quick to point out how grown up both George and Charlotte now look. For the occasion, George wore blue shorts and a check shirt with navy Nike runners, while Charlotte wore a pair of blue sport shorts, a baby pink Ralph Lauren pullover and bright pink Nike runners.
Twitter user @v_i_a321 commented, “Princess Charlotte looks like a mini me of the Queen.” And @jennife73333895 wrote, “Princess Charlotte is just too cute. She’s growing up very fast. Look at that confident walk.”
Meanwhile, @JENNIFE17609743 commented on Will and Kate’s ‘fab’ parenting style, writing, “George looks worried, bless him. Charlotte loves the attention. Every child is different. W & K are fab parents.”
Twitter user @jakesauntie added, “They’re growing so quickly. Lovely family.”
