Meghan Markle, dazzled in a jaw-dropping red gown at the glittering Salute to Freedom Gala in New York.
The Duchess of Sussex was totally breathtaking in her fire-engine red gown- with its deep plunging neckline, flowing train, thigh-high split and fitted waist – designed by Caroline Herrera.
She paired her look with burgundy coloured satin sling-backs by Giuseppe Zanotti and opted for a fresh, glowing makeup look.
The Duchess also accessorised with a diamond tennis bracelet, once owned by Princess Diana, and Maison Birks’ earrings.
Silky black hair pinned in a sleek top bun, her signature smokey eye, and flushed cheeks – the Duchess looked as fresh and glamorous as ever.
The dress was not the only jaw-dropper for the evening, as the Duchess stole the show when she arrived at the ceremony onboard a historic aircraft carrier.
Meghan was joined by her husband, Prince Harry, who was dressed nobly for the evening too, sporting a classic black tuxedo for the ceremony. Both the Prince and Duchess wore red pins to pay homage to Remembrance Day, commemorated on November 11 each year.
Prince Harry’s role for the evening was presenting the inaugural Intrepid Award to “ five service members, veterans and military families living with the invisible wounds of war.”
Though tonight’s appearance marks their first public gala attendance as a couple since stepping back from their royal roles and moving to the United States, the couple have been busy this week with their own endeavours leading up to the event.
Duchess Meghan was at the New York Times’ Dealbook Online Summit discussing the importance of paid parental leave for women, noting that it is “a humanitarian issue.”
While Prince Harry was a guest speaker at a WIRED magazine conference to speak against online misinformation.
