Meghan Markle sure knows how to make an entrance! From the jaw-dropping red gown, she wore to the glittering Salute to Freedom Gala in New York to her numerous Tuesday outfit changes there’s no doubt she’s the Duchess of Style.

And as if to solidify her place as a royal fashion icon, the 40-year-old mother of two looked absolutely jaw-dropping on Saturday evening, February 26, as she and her husband, Prince Harry received the President’s Award at the NAACP Image Awards.

Meghan, 40, was a vision as she took to the stage wearing a bespoke gown by designer Christopher John Rogers. Featuring dynamic cobalt hues, this stunning creation is characterised by an asymmetric neckline, figure-slimming fit and thigh-high slit.

Meghan styled her glossy raven hair in voluminous curls, swept to one side to compliment the striking one-shoulder design of the gown. For her accessories, Meghan sported Princess Diana’s yellow gold omega chain cuff bracelet, her engagement ring, dramatic chandelier earrings and crystal-embellished leather sandals.

For make-up, Meghan opted for a gorgeous smokey eye, glowy blush and timeless nude lip to finish her look.

Royal fans were also left mesmerised by Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who was also accompanied her daughter and son-in-law to the event.

Many were quick to rush to Instagram to express their admiration for the mother-daughter duo’s effortless beauty.

“Now you can see where Megan got the good skin and good looks from, what a gorgeous mother and daughter,” commented one fan, while another penned: “Mama Doria!! Look at her tiny waist!! Gorgeous!”

“Doria is such a beauty! We know where Meghan gets it from. Her momma!” added a third fan.

The NAACP, a civil rights organisation, had announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be receiving the prestigious award for their philanthropic and advocacy work.

Speaking on their award, Megahn said: “I couldn’t be prouder that we’re doing this work together. We are so deeply humbled to be here in the company of such illustrious awardees.”

That same day the couple also launched the NAACP-Archewell Digital Civil Rights Award to recognise those “creating transformational change—at the intersection of social justice and tech—to advance civil and human rights”.
