The Duchess of Cambridge is known for her love of baking and has shown off her skills in the kitchen on numerous occasions in the past. And this week the duchess roped in her family to bake cupcakes for military veterans in honour of Remembrance Day next month.

Catherine, William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis got involved with the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal. The sweet treats baked by the Cambridge clan, who have been residing at their Norfolk home Anmer Hall since the outbreak of Covid-19, were then delivered to residents at a veterans care home in Norfolk.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family have shown their support for our Poppy Appeal this year by baking poppy cakes!” the Royal British Legion wrote on social media. “These delicious cakes were delivered to residents at our care home in Norfolk.”

The cakes were adorably decorated with white frosting and red sugar poppies. Fans couldn’t get enough of the Cambridge’s efforts, with one writing: “Aww how lovely of them to do that. And the cupcakes look delicious! Well done to the Cambridges.”

Another commented: “Amazingly beautiful. How thoughtful of William and Kate.” While another wrote: “Don’t you just love the wonderful Cambridge family.”

Last year Catherine teamed up with celebrity chef Mary Berry to cook up a feast to thank those who work or volunteer for charities and other organisations that help the needy over Christmas.

Kensington Palace shared a series of behind-the-scenes images from the highly-anticipated TV special in December last year. In one sweet snap, the royal couple proudly pose alongside the British cook with their freshly baked goods. Catherine is dressed in a beautiful ruby red frock by Alessandra Rich.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have joined forces with cookery legend Mary Berry to prepare festive food to thank all those working and volunteering over the Christmas period,” Kensington Palace wrote.
