The Princess of Wales has once again proven that she is worthy of the moniker of the “Children’s Princess” after sharing an adorable interaction with a “chatty” toddler during a recent Royal engagement.

As patron of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, Princess Catherine was in attendance at the Colham Manor Children’s Centre in West London on Wednesday, November 9 to meet with families and mothers who were receiving mental health support after giving birth.

As Catherine prepared to leave the venue she was greeted by three-year-old, Akeem, who asked the Princess her name before adorably noting the poppy she had pinned to her jacket.

“Have you got a poppy?” the royal asked as she knelt down to chat with the child.

“No, I haven’t found one,” Akeem replied.

“Would you like mine?” Catherine offered.

“Yes,” he sweetly replied.

Catherine then offered the poppy to the toddler before asking if Akeem knew what the flower represented.

“Do you know what this is for? It’s for remembering all the soldiers who died in the war,” she explained.

The “absolutely beautiful moment” tugged at the heartstrings of many Royal fans who took to social media to praise Catherine for her “very sweet” nature.

“Oh what a beautiful little boy. Princess Catherine is so kind,” one fan wrote.

“She’s just such a natural when it comes to the kids!”

“Having a bit of a ‘moment’ just now. This lovely heartwarming moment has cheered me no end! Lovely!”

“Children instinctively gravitate to Princess Catherine. It’s lovely,” another commented.

“Omg this is such a cute moment!! Catherine is a very sweet, caring woman.. the one and only Children’s Princess.”

“This is why we love our Princess of Wales, absolutely beautiful moment.”

“The way she talks is so sweet and genuine.”

It’s certainly not the first time Catherine’s maternal instincts stole the show during a Royal engagement.

Earlier this year, Catherine joined her husband Prince William at St. John’s Primary School to learn more about an initiative where students observe infants in order to gain a greater understanding of empathy.

The groundbreaking initiative involves a local parent and their baby visiting school classrooms, in this case, “tiny teacher” Saul was on hand to teach kids about empathy and emotions.

Prince William and Kate joined students as they sang nursery rhymes and it wasn’t long before Kate had little Saul wrapped up in her arms as they read through a book together.

“Can you get my wife out of here before she gets broody?” William joked.

Saul’s mother Laura Molloy told reporters that she “could tell how motherly she (Kate) is”.

“She also loved Saul too and held him for a moment in her arms and said she loves this baby stage,” Molloy said.
