The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and legendary baker Mary Berry have teamed up for a new BBC festive special called A Berry Royal Christmas.

The special will feature the trio cooking up a feast to thank those who work or volunteer for charities and other organisations that help the needy over Christmas.

Kensington Palace shared a series of behind-the-scenes images from the highly-anticipated TV special on Saturday. In one sweet snap, the royal couple proudly pose alongside the British cook with their freshly baked goods. Catherine is dressed in a beautiful ruby red frock by Alessandra Rich.

While Catherine can be seen decorating cakes with Mary in another gorgeous snap. The mother-of-three slips into an elegant belted dress for the casual occasion. Cinching her in at the waist, the pale blue Emilia Wickstead dress featured a pretty pink floral design.

Mary and Prince William also visit The Passage Charity in London – which runs London’s largest voluntary resource centre for homeless and vulnerable people. The one-off episode, which will air on BBC One in December, will wrap up with the trio hosting a party for the staff and volunteers of all the charities.

The sneak peak came after the duchess stepped out in an olive-green, belted dress alongside husband Prince William to meet Tusk Awards nominees at a tea hosted by Kensington Palace last week. The awards are run by the Tusk Trust, a non-profit organisation set up to help protect African wildlife, of which William has been royal patron since December 2005.

Catherine’s dress by British fashion brand Beulah London featured a pleated skirt and flattered the duchess’ figure beautifully. Keeping her accessories simple for the event, Catherine opted for an understated pair of patent leather black court shoes, while she wore her recently highlighted locks in loose curls over her shoulders.

It’s not the first time Catherine has worn the elegant frock. She was previously pictured sporting the same dress in January for a visit to the Family Action organisation in London, but teamed the dress on that occasion with a croc-embossed belt and suede shoes.
