Even in a pandemic-induced global lockdown, it seems nothing can stop the British royal family from completing their daily duties. But since social distancing rules have applied, visits and engagements have either been conducted online, over the phone or without the obligatory handshake, with senior royals instead having to don face masks and stick to the 1.5m social distancing rule.

Royal fans would have still seen a lot of the family over the past few months, as they are still bound to carry out their official duties, but out of all the dedicated members, which royal worked the hardest during lockdown?

Well, information gathered from the data analysis company, Resume.io, has revealed that Prince Charles has officially taken the top spot!

The data totalled all the engagements each royal has done since lockdown began in March to unveil who put in the most hours with the Prince of Wales just scraping into first place. Overall, he attended 69 engagements and worked a total of 50 days. What’s more impressive however, is that Prince Charles managed to hold the top position despite his week-long stint in isolation after contracting coronavirus himself and displaying mild symptoms.

Most surprisingly, Prince Charles took the coveted title away from his sister Princess Anne who has historically been a shoo-in for the hardest worker in the family. Instead for the period over lockdown, Anne came in at fourth place with 47 engagements attended over 41 days.

Prince William was hot on his father’s heels however coming in second with 65 engagements over 33 days. This only just beat out Her Majesty the Queen who, at the ripe age of 94, was the third hardest working royal after attending 54 engagements over 43 days.

The Duchess of Cambridge came in seventh with the Duchess of Cornwall next in eighth and Prince Phillip coming in 12th with just one engagement despite previously retiring from royal duties.

The data company also estimated how much the royals would potentially earn for all of their engagements since March. For all of Prince Charles’s work, it was predicted he would get $5,953 (£3,270) meanwhile, for the one event that Prince Phillip attended he would have earned a measly $119 (£65).

Meanwhile, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were out and about this week visiting aged an care home where they were left in stitches after a cheeky resident told them they weren’t as good at bingo as they should’ve been and finished off by saying they did a “bloody sh***y job”.
