The Duchess of Cornwall has been busy pulling out all the fashion stops as of late, and Camilla, 73, did just that on Wednesday as she stepped out in a striking military-style coat to lead the commemorations at Westminster Abbey’s Field of Remembrance in central London, a role that once belonged to former senior royal Prince Harry, who now lives in the US with his wife Meghan and their one-year-old son Archie.

During yesterday’s service, Camilla, who is already patron of The Poppy Factory, toured the plots made up of poppies and crosses and visited Graves of Unknown British Soldiers from the First and Second World Wars.

Clarence House shared several images from the outing, which saw Camilla dressed in the dark green coat, matched with a black hat by Irish milliner Philip Treacy which featured a single green feather, black knee-high boots and a beautiful poppy brooch. She also coordinated her look with a matching face mask adorned with poppies, while she wore her hair out in a soft blow-dried style.

“As Patron of @thepoppyfactory, The Duchess of Cornwall today attended the 92nd Field of Remembrance at @westminsterabbeylondon,” Clarence House captioned the post. “The Field of Remembrance has taken place since November 1928, to commemorate those who have lost their lives in the Armed Forces.

“During today’s service, Her Royal Highness viewed Graves of the Unknown and toured the plots. Ex-service men and women, as well as members of the public, can plant a cross or symbol carrying a personal message in memory of those who lost their lives in the service of others.”

It didn’t take long before royal fans commented on the post, with the majority praising the duchess for her efforts. “Beautiful photo and Camilla is such a credit to the royal family,” one social media user wrote.

Another added: “Very touching. Thank you for not forgetting the veterans.” While others commented on her style choices, with one writing: “Looking very smart as always.”

Last month, the duchess pulled off another show-stopping look in a stylish and modern monochrome look as she visited a community centre in Ladbroke Grove. Camilla paired an on-trend, balloon-sleeved white shirt, which also featured an oversized collar, with a black tailored pinafore that fell to her knees.

The 73-year-old duchess completed the sophisticated look with a black cape-style cropped jacket, a small leather handbag and a pair of black suede knee-high boots. And, keeping with Covid-19 restrictions, she opted for a statement leopard print face mask.
