‘You left the world far too early’: Tina Turner reveals heartbreaking loss

Singing sensation Tina Turner has taken to social media to share her heartbreaking loss, following the death of her son.

Ronnie Turner was the second born son of the singer and passed away on Thursday, December 8 at the age of 62 after he has was reportedly having trouble breathing.

Ronnie’s wife, Afida, took to social media to announce the death of “a true angel”.

“My god Ronnie Turner a true angel huge soul highly spiritual my husband my best friend my baby your [sic] mummy your nurse I did the best to the end this time i was no [sic] able to save you,” she wrote.

“Love u for this 17 years this is very very very bad i am very mad. This is a tragedy u with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline rest in paradise. So unfair.”

Following Ronnie’s passing, a grieving Turner also took to social media to pay tribute to her late son.

“Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son,” she wrote.

Fans were quick to react to the post, sharing their messages of love and support for Turner during her difficult time.

“I love you so much. I just want to give you the biggest hug. I’m so sorry,” one fan wrote.

“Our deeplest condolences, dear Tina!”

“So unfair. May he rest in peace, we love you Tina,” commented another.

“So sorry to hear about such devastating loss. Sending love to you and your entire family.”

Ronnie’s death comes as the second time Turner has been met with tragedy after her eldest son Craig died by suicide in 2018.

Following his death, a devastated Turner bid her final farewell to Craig by scattering his ashes off the coast of California, alongside members of her family and friends.

Sharing a photo on social media, Turner stood on the edge of a boat as she dropped a rose into the sea in memory of her son. Wrapped up in a grey coat, she looked down towards the water as family cradled her in their arms.

The singer shared a moving message alongside the photo, describing the day as the “saddest moment as a mother”.

“On Thursday, July 19, 2018, I said my final goodbye to my son, Craig Raymond Turner, when I gathered with family and friends to scatter his ashes off the coast of California,” she wrote at the time.

“He was fifty-nine when he died so tragically, but he will always be my baby.”
