George Clooney and wife Amal stepped out on Sunday night, in a rare public appearance for the couple since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

The couple were attending the premiere of The Tender Bar, the new film directed by Clooney. George wore an all black suit and Amal wore a silver print cutout dress for the event.

As well as posing for photos on the red carpet, the 60 year old actor used the night to provide reporters with a quick update on his children.

The Ocean’s 11 star revealed to E! News’ Daily Pop that not only have his children, Ella and Alexander, begun swimming, but they’re also bilingual.

“They speak fluent Italian, but Amal and I do not,” he said.

“That’s a flaw in our logic, right there.”

Later in the night Clooney reunited with Hollywood star and long time friend Ben Affleck. The Tender Bar marks a reunion for Affleck and Clooney who worked together before in 2012’s political thriller Argo, both actors have also played the superhero Batman.

The two leading men seemed happy to reunite as they joked and laughed on the red carpet outside DGA Theater Complex.

When asked by Variety if he would ever reprise his Batman role in the upcoming Flash movie, which Affleck and Michael Keaton will be doing, Clooney jokingly replied that he hadn’t been asked. He later said during the interview that the movie was so bad, he won’t allow his wife to see it.

““When you destroy a franchise the way I did, usually they look the other way when ‘The Flash’ comes by,” he said.

Although Clooney was regularly seen attending movie premieres as a famous bachelor in the past, since meeting Amal he has been inseparable from his wife and has admitted his life was “empty” without her.

The Tender Bar opens in theatres in the US on December 22 and will be available globally to stream on Amazon Prime on January 7 next year. The movie tells the story of a young boy seeking out a father figure among patrons at his uncle’s (Affleck) bar.
