Terri Irwin has taken to social media to congratulate her daughter Bindi on her pregnancy, sharing a series of throwback photos of herself and husband Steve from when she was first expecting.
The first photo shows Terri and Steve, both dressed in khaki, posing with a snake, while the second shows Terri holding up a snake, and the third shows the couple smiling widely at the camera while sitting on an inflatable boat.
“I’m remembering the wonderful filming adventures Steve & I had when we were waiting for the arrival of our dear Bindi,” she captioned the post, before congratulating her daughter and son-in-law on the happy news. “It’s so wonderful that now @BindiIrwin and @chandlerpowell9 are expecting! I am so happy for them and feel incredibly blessed.”

Many fans were quick to comment on the sweet post, with Twitter user @SolomonsKareena writing: “What precious memories! Terri, you are beautiful and going to be the best Grandma around! This baby will be one very loved child growing up! Let the adventures begin!.”
Meanwhile, @imsonororious added: “I remember watching all of those episodes. And when Bindi was born I thought she was the luckiest girl on earth. I still think she is.” And @LoriMoffet wrote: “Omg how did I miss this news? Being a Grammie is the best. Congratulations to you all.”
It comes just a few days after the 22-year-old wildlife warrior opened up about the emotional moment she discovered she was going to be a mother and revealed how she broke the news to her American husband of six months, Chandler.
“Reflecting on when we found out that we are going to be parents,” Bindi wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. “Discovering that I was going to become a mother will forever be a moment where time stood still. I took a test and ran into the kitchen where Chandler was making us tea.
“He didn’t hear me come in so I speechlessly watched him pouring the water into my most loved hedgehog mug. This news would change the course of our future in the best way. I started crying tears of pure joy and told my sweetheart husband that my test was positive.
“We were beaming while our adorable puppy Piggy sat on our feet wondering what was going on. It reminded me of just how perceptive animals are. We sat together with tea talking about the future and how we were going to share such wonderful, life-changing news with the people that we love. In that short span of time the gorgeous baby I’m carrying became the most important part of our lives.”
Bindi and Chandler regularly share updates about their life and relationship on social media, and it was via Instagram that Bindi revealed she was pregnant in August. “Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021,” Bindi wrote, alongside an image of the pair holding a tiny Australia Zoo uniform.
The couple also shared the news of their surprise wedding with their fans via social media in March, after Covid-19 restrictions rendered their original wedding plans unachievable. The wedding took place at the family’s world-famous Australia Zoo with just a handful of guests present.
