Dolly Parton has again got fans talking after revealing her dream duet partner in an interview with Good Morning America on Wednesday – and the lucky guy is Australian country music icon Keith Urban.

The surprise confession took place as Dolly promoted her highly-anticipated new album and latest Southern-style cake collaboration with dessert company, Duncan Hines.

When asked who her dream duet partner would be, Dolly giggled, replying, “Any of the good-looking ones”.

“I love Keith Urban”, Dolly admitted.

“I’ve always thought that he was one of the most talented and cutest guys in the world – I’m not trying to hit on him, cause he’s got Nicole and who could beat that, she’s Jolene,” she said.

During the interview, Dolly joked to Urban’s wife, Nicole Kidman, assuring her she wasn’t “trying to hit on him”.

Dolly and Urban have played together a number of times over the years, including the 2006 Music City Jam in Nashville, an event the pair hosted.

It seems as though Urban is quite fond of the 9-5 singer too, asking Dolly to perform at his charity benefit concert just a few years later.

The charity concert, We’re all For The Hall, saw multiple country superstars take the stage, including John Mayer, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Alan Jackson.

Urban and wife Kidman have been married for 15 years and are well-known for their devoted relationship.

The couple share two beautiful daughters together and continue to surprise fans with their strong bond, despite Hollywood’s notorious track record for short-lived celebrity marriages.

Dolly, too, has quite the loved-up relationship with husband Carl Dean, a marriage that remains strong after an astonishing 55-years of marriage to date.

It is unknown when, or if, fans will see Dolly and Urban take the stage together once again, however, it is certainly a reality many hope to see eventuate.
