Cher shows off unique style in new UGG campaign

Cher has put her unparalleled style on full display with a pair of her favourite ugg boots in a new campaign run by UGG.

The FEEL____ campaign shows the “Goddess of Pop” against the backdrop of her home, while she’s interviewed about her legendary sense of style and her enthusiasm for working in the film industry.

The singer said she didn’t understand why she was considered an icon, saying she couldn’t define the aspect that attributes to her status – her style.

“When someone says, “Oh, you’re an icon,” it makes absolutely no sense to me. It just doesn’t make any sense,” Cher said in UGG’s campaign.

“I can’t describe my style. I don’t even know what it is. I did my own thing when I wasn’t very appreciated. We weren’t very appreciated. We thought we looked fabulous, but grownups hated us.

“I spent a lifetime of people either hating me or loving me, but finally it’s like – f**k it.”

As reported by Rolling Stone, UGG’s Senior Director of Brand Communications & Public Relations Lindsey Dicola Dashoff said Cher was the perfect choice for the campaign, claiming her life represented the brand’s values.

“Being an icon is about having the freedom and courage to explore your own journey and individuality,” Dicola Dashoff said.

“Cher is globally renowned for the bold and unapologetic way she lives her life, something UGG has always related to.”

The campaign video released by UGG, shows Cher watching a movie at home with her cat with narration from the superstar herself. The legendary singer and actress said ever since a young age, she’s always wanted to be in the movies.

“I started watching movies with my mother when I was really little,” Cher said.

“From the time I was four years old, it’s all I ever wanted to do. I wanted to be in movies. The first movie I saw was Dumbo, and my mum tried to explain to me ‘you can’t be a cartoon character’, and I thought why not?”

Cher said movies played a huge role in shaping who she is today.

“Every film elicits another part of who you are, the emotion that goes along with who you are,” the singer said.

“So, movies have a place in my heart all their own, because movies have meant so much to me at different times. It gives you perspective on things you don’t know and could never know.”
