Bob Saget’s widow opens up about grief and gratitude in touching tribute to late husband

Kelly Rizzo, the widow of late comedian Bob Saget, is thanking those who have reached out to her to express their support since the sudden death of her husband in January earlier this year. 

On Tuesday, March 2, the 42-year-old posted a series of videos on her Instagram Stories, where she detailed her grieving process and talked about how Saget would have responded to the outpour of tributes since his sudden death at age 65, on January 9. 

“I just wanted to take a second to say to everybody that it has not gone unnoticed. I have been incredibly grateful and appreciative of all of you for the love and support,” she began in the clip.

“I have had people who were strangers that now have become friends on Instagram. So many people have shared their stories with me of the loss that you’ve been through, and you’ve poured out your heart, and it’s just really kind that you’ve tried to help me by sharing your stories.”

Despite her grief, the Eat Travel Rock blogger said he as been “been doing my best to try to even engage with people and respond to comments and just try to tell everyone how thankful and grateful and appreciative I am of everything that you’ve all done to try to help me through this incredibly difficult time.”

Rizzo, who met Saget in 2015 and married him three years later, went on to express that the “kindness you have all shown has been a little bright spot.” 

“Seeing how much of an impact he had on all your lives is life-changing and [it’s] just immeasurable how much it means to all of us, and especially how much I know it would mean to Bob,” she added.

The much-loved Fuller House star was found dead in his Ritz-Carlton hotel room in Orlando Florida, after performing at a comedy show the previous evening. 

Reports fro, the Orange County Medical Examiner stated that the actor had most likely fallen backwards and died from blunt head trauma. 

Since the death of her husband, Rizzo has honoured him several times on social media.
