Wicked Mars Bar slice

Now not many things make me lose all self-control, however, this wicked little Mars Bar slice has always been my Kryptonite.

Picture a cowboy coming face to face with his nemesis. That’s me, coming face to face with this slice. We eye each other off; no sudden movements. Then suddenly, BOOM! and the entire slice is gone. That’s the danger of this wicked Mars Bar slice.

Serves 20 pieces.

Ingredients

  • 4 king-sized Mars bars, chopped finely
  • 3 cups of rice bubbles
  • 60 grams of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of golden syrup
  • 1 block of Cadbury cooking chocolate, chopped finely

Method

  1. Gently melt the butter, the golden syrup and the bars and stir until combined
  2. Remove from heat. Add the rice bubbles and mix, coated the mixture with gooey goodness.
  3. Put into a lined slice tin and flatten. Transfer to refrigerator leave for about 30 minutes.
  4. Melt the block of chocolate carefully on the stove.
  5. When the rice bubble mixture is cool, cover with the melted chocolate.
  6. Try to contain yourself. Everything is best in moderation.
