This lifehack helps one cooking ingredient taste better for longer

Fresh herbs are a tasty addition to your recipes.

Herbs and spices are a tasty addition to any recipe, and you can easily grow them yourself in your own garden.

If you cut up some of your fresh herbs but don’t need to use them all at once, there are ways to save them for later.
There are two ways you can do it.

One is to freeze them.
Scatter them across an ice-cube tray and blend in some olive oil to fill in some liquid.
Then pop it in the freezer as you would for normal ice.
Once they are frozen save them in a freezer bag.
Then when you need to include them in a recipe just put the whole cube in… you don’t even need to defrost it first.

Alternatively, you can dry your leftover herbs in a microwave.
Pick the leaves off and spread them over paper towel.
Cover with another paper towel.
Microwave on high for 1 minute.
Check to see how they are going.
Microwave again for 20 seconds at a time, checking as you go until they are fully dry and crumble when you press them between your fingers.
Store these in an airtight jar and sprinkle in your cooking as needed.
