Christmas in Australia means juicy stone fruit like apricots, nectarines and peaches. This delicious grilled peaches and cream recipe is a simple, three-ingredient dessert, but when plated it’s so elegant.

This is an ideal recipe to create something sweet after a festive dinner. It’s sure to satisfy.

If sour cream isn’t your thing, try it with plain cream or ice cream.

Serves 4.

Ingredients

  • 2 large peaches
  • olive oil spray
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Method

  1. Cut peaches in half and remove pit. Heat grill pan or grill to high heat. Coat with olive oil spray. Place each peach half down on the grill and cook over high heat, undisturbed, for about 5 minutes or until grill marks appear.
  2. Combine sour cream with brown sugar.
  3. To serve, place grilled peach half, cut side up, on dish and top with a spoonful of sweetened sour cream. Serve immediately.
