Highly-pointed single vineyard Barossa shiraz almost always comes at a hefty premium. It’s so refreshing to find one that packs all that power and density into a ‘drink more than once a month’ kind of price. This has received all the love given, from hand harvesting of the grapes, basket pressing and 18 months in seasoned French oak. It’s nearly black to the eye, bursting with blackberry, clove, chocolate and coffee. Viscous, earthy and savoury, this shiraz has earned its place at the table amongst the elite, but slips in the door on a discounted ticket.
