The Blackcurrant jam sources Tasmanian Blackcurrants from the one of the last commercial Blackcurrant grower in Australia. Normally a Northern Hemisphere fruit they are notoriously hard to grow in Australia as they require damp fertile soils! Luckily Tassie has the perfect conditions for them and we think you will appreciate the exclusive quality of this jam. A perfectly tart and sweet jam, Blackcurrants are known also for very high Vitamin C and polyphenols. Lovely on crusty sourdough or croissant!
As with all our products, this is Gluten Free and Vegan. We are All Natural and use no added artificial preservatives, colouring or additives. Our preserves are made fresh with seasonal fruit, low sugar and have a best before of one year; just best to keep in the fridge after opening. We find these products taste so fresh and great that most people will consume them within a month or two. For some though it can be even quicker 🙂
