Zip up this easy solution for a common wardrobe malfuction

Use this tip to keep your jacket in tip top shape.

With the cooler weather hitting us, now is often the time to dig out the winter wardrobe in search of a jacket or two.

You might have an old favourite but what do you do if the zipper isn’t working the way it used to.

If it is a simple solution like a zipper that is stiff or keeps getting stuck, you don’t need to get rid of it, you just need to lubricate it.

There is more than one way to do it, and all the solutions can be found in your home.

Do you have a clean bar of soap, a graphite pencil, a plain candle or chapstick?

Then you have a solution at hand.

Any of these products rubbed up and down along the teeth will lubricate it to enable the zipper to move more freely.

Make sure you do a spot test first to ensure they won’t mark or stain the fabric of the jacket.

If all is good, lubricate away and get wearing that ol favourite again.
