Johnny Depp has caused a stir saying that he believes, that Donald Trump is a brat who would “break’ the office of the President of the United States.
Some of Depp’s comments now feature in a dramatic faux movie trailer based on Donald Trump’s Presidential election campaign statements.
Rolling Stone reported Depp’s comments made while promoting his latest movie, Alice Through the Looking Glass.
“Here’s the thing — if Donald Trump is elected President of the United States, in a kind of historical way it’s exciting because we will see the actual last President of the United States,” Depp said. “It just won’t work after that.”
He’s previously been reported saying of Trump, “There’s a pretense. There’s something created about him in the sense of ‘bullydom.’ But what he is, I believe, is a brat.” during a Q&A at Arizona State University.
Earlier this year he caused a stir playing Donald Trump in an online ‘faux movie’, sending up Donald Trump’s 1987 book The Art of the Deal.
The movie may now be a Emmy Award contender.
They thought it and Trump’s Presidential potential would die off, but it doesn’t seem that either of them are going quietly.
It not only starred Depp in a mask created by his own makeup artists, it also starred director Ron Howard playing himself as the director of the ‘movie’.
At the time of its launch, Yahoo News asked its readers which would have been more unbelievable a year ago, Trump’s ascension to Presidential potential or Johnny Depp starring as the billionaire in an online movie with an Academy award winning director. The movie’s release took on more meaning as it coincided with Trump winning the all important New Hampshire Republican primary vote.
Could you have believed any of this a year ago?
