Would you prefer to watch TV or read a book?

Do you prefer watching TV or curling up to a great book?

Some people say that watching TV can rot your brain, but is that true?

According to a study, sitting in front of the TV for hours and hours with no exercise can really fast-track toward cognitive decline.

In fact, those with the lowest physical activity and the most TV watching were twice as likely to score lowest among their peers on a series of brain power tests.

In other words, being a couch potato does in fact appear to rot your brain.

Despite scientific findings, many people think that TV is not all that bad. There are lots of educational shows that can feed the mind like National Geographic.

How about reading?

Research have shown that not only does regular reading help make you smarter, it can actually increase your brain power and memory too by giving it a good work out.

As Dr. Seuss once wrote, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
