Here are three options for replacing your morning coffee with a healthier and more sustainable option.
1) Green tea

It also contains a healthy amount of caffeine meaning you will rely more on your natural energy sources over anything else. Many people say the energy levels they have when drinking green tea, where there is less caffeine then coffee, is much more stable and constant rather than coffee where they have dramatic highs and lows.
2) Chai tea or latte
Chai tea or latte mixes a number of different spices, milk and black tea to create a delicious and sweet morning treat that only includes half the amount of caffeine intake as coffee. It is the closest tasting drink to coffee and acts the perfect substitute for people who still want their hot, creamy beverage in the mornings. 3) Fruit and nut smoothie
This delicious drink is perfect for your mind, body and soul. The smoothie is completely natural with all good fats and no added sugar. It might take slightly longer then a cup of coffee to prepare, but it will taste so much more refreshing. Plus, your body will be thanking you when your not crashing half way through the day.
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 2/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup frozen mango cubes
- 1/3 cup sliced strawberries
- 1/4 cup toasted walnut halves
- 1/4 cup canned light coconut milk
- Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
