Three delicious drinks to replace your morning coffee

Delicious alternative options.

While our morning coffee might be the only thing keeping us awake during the day, it doesn’t mean that it’s any good for our health. Caffeine is incredibly addictive and we have become reliant on it to provide us with energy throughout the day. However, too much coffee can have a toll on our bodies and stops us from using our natural energy sources. Here are three options for replacing your morning coffee with a healthier and more sustainable option.

1) Green tea

Green tea might be the best replacement for coffee as it is super easy to make and is great for your metabolism, skin and energy. It also contains a healthy amount of caffeine meaning you will rely more on your natural energy sources over anything else. Many people say the energy levels they have when drinking green tea, where there is less caffeine then coffee, is much more stable and constant rather than coffee where they have dramatic highs and lows.

2) Chai tea or latte

Chai tea or latte mixes a number of different spices, milk and black tea to create a delicious and sweet morning treat that only includes half the amount of caffeine intake as coffee. It is the closest tasting drink to coffee and acts the perfect substitute for people who still want their hot, creamy beverage in the mornings. The spices can include cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg and allspice.
